Thick and Shiny Hair help to modeling career

Soft, bouncy, voluminous tresses can be yours. Here, the latest breakthrough products, tools, and treatments to get the hair you want.

1. THE PERFECT SHAMPOO Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Shampoo and Conditioner ($24 each) can help scale back the number of times you shampoo in a week, thanks to technology that repels dirt and oil by casting an invisible shield around each strand. Why shampoo less? "Wet hair is most vulnerable to breakage," says Tim Rogers, Living Proof's creative director, so the less often you brush and blow-dry sopping-wet hair, the healthier it can grow without splitting. Bottom line: With this duo, your locks becomes smoother and shinier.

2. EASIEST EXTENSIONS Hair extensions can cause severe damage, look fake, or be difficult to attach. But Hair2wear, a line of clip-in pieces ($24–$49) launched with tress-blessed model Christie Brinkley, are a goofproof DIY option that adds instant volume without breaking the bank—or your strands. While synthetic, the extensions (available in 12 hues) blend seamlessly with your natural color, and can be styled with hot tools, washed, and air-dried.

3. MUST-TRY TREATMENT Kérastase's Immunity to Dryness in-salon service ($60) is "a megadose of hydration that leaves hair supple and shiny in 25 minutes," says stylist Nina Dimachki. Unlike other rejuvenating remedies, a moisturizing cream is applied before washing and conditioning, acting as a primer to prevent your shampoo from over-stripping oils needed for shine. And because ends often need extra repair, the four-part treatment finishes with an antioxidant-loaded balm that's especially designed for dull, scraggly tips.

How To Become Fashion Model ?

FASHION MODEL: This category is the most exclusive and most difficult of all categories for a model to get into, much less succeed in. As a whole, a fashion model MUST be tall, young, and thin. In addition, there are fashion model “size requirements”, and hardly any exceptions made in terms of that. While there is no universally-agreed upon, OFFICIAL “fashion-industry size-standard”, the size requirements in fashion modeling are TYPICALLY as follows:

Female Fashion Models:
Model Height Requirement: 5’9” to 6”.
Model Measurement Requirement: 34-24-34. (There are exceptions within one inch, and MAYBE two, of this standard. Anything beyond that is extremely unlikely to be considered.)
Model Age Requirement: 16-21 years old.
Model Size Requirement: 0-4.
Model Weight Requirement: 105-130 lbs, directly proportional to height

Male Fashion Models:
Model Height Requirement: 5’11” to 6’2”.
Model Weight Requirement: 140-165 lbs, directly proportional to height.
Model Measurement Requirement: Waist between 29” and 32”. Shirt size between 15-15 ½ neck, sleeve size between 32 and 34. Jacket size between 40 and 42.
Model Age Requirement: 18-25 years old.

What does TFP mean in modeling? What does TFCD mean?

In the modeling industry you will surely hear these acronyms come up in conversation; freely thrown around amongst models, photographers, makeup artists, and modeling agencies. It is important to understand what these acronyms stand for, as well as the concept of what they are and what they entail.

Essentially the terms TFP and TFCD both represent a trade.

]What is TFP? “TFP” stands for “Time for Print”

What is TFCD? “TFCD” stands for “Time for CD”

What is TF*? TF* is a more ambiguous term; meaning “Time for…” with the * implying that a negotiation that will occur between the individual parties

TFP signifies that the photographer will provide the model with prints of the photos they take, in exchange for her modeling services. These prints may either be physical (for example, 8×10 glossy prints to add to your portfolio), or digital (photos sent to you via email). It is important to clarify with the photographer beforehand

TFCD signifies that the photographer will provide the model with a CD containing the images from their photoshoot, in exchange for her modeling services.

These terms signify that the model and photographer (or makeup artist, stylist, etc.) are in full agreement that the work and services they are providing is a trade amongst themselves; neither party will receive a payment, nor will they make a payment. Their “currency” is the service they are providing, not money.

How to Apply to Modeling Agencies

Find Out the best modeling agencies For you modeling career

1.Research agencies in the area you want to model in. You can do this by checking through your phone book or using an internet search engine.

2.Find out what each agency wants. Lots of agencies today now have websites but there are others who you may have to call in order to find out what they want. Look into the types of models they represent. Look into any requirements they suggest. Find out what photos they want.

3.Get some photos prepared. Unless they stated otherwise, agencies will want to see the minimum of one head shot and one body shot. Whilst you do not have to have these done professionally, it does help to have some taken especially for the purpose of sending them off to agencies. If you cannot afford or do not want to have photos taken professionally, have a friend take some pictures of you or use a passport photo booth for the head shot.

4.Prepare a cover letter and, if you have enough past experience, a brief resume. The cover letter should make a note of your vital statistics (as in height, dress size, bust, waist and hip measurements for girls, inside leg measurement if you know it and shoe size) and explain, briefly, why you want to be a model and why you think you have what it takes. Your resume should include things like past modeling work, past acting work and any drama/dance training you have had in the past.

5.Submit to the agency but make sure you do this the right way. A lot of agencies will now accept e-mail submissions but do check with them beforehand that they do so. You may be better off with regular mail anyway- agencies receive a lot of junk email and some admit to losing new model applications due to cluttered inboxes!!

6.Prepare for your interview if you get one. Practice your photo face in front of a mirror, practice your walk and flick through magazines to get some idea of how models pose.

Choose Areas of Work

Models are required in different areas to fulfill various functions. The most important of them is advertising and sale promotion. Advertising business requires models to endorse various brands and publicize the products. This could be in the form of campaigns, commercials, events, coordination, point-of purchase campaign etc.

A model has to sign a legal contract with the agency. The contract specifies that the model should not engage in endorsing the rival’s brands. Contracts are usually for a year’s duration and the model can be called upon to participate in a variety of barred from working for competitors. If the strictures are not strictly followed, he/she can be taken to court and penalized for their action.

Advertising campaigns are of two types: television commercials and print campaigns. Print campaigns involve posing for still photographs which are used in press advertisement, folders, brochures, calendars, or even as a component in packaging design. In television commercial, it include making of ad films, and documents. It requires many more people including director, cameraman and sound technicians, and others, and often includes some acting or dance. A model by association enhances the worth of a product. In advertising circles it is often said that a model’s identification with a product often influence brand choice to a greater extent than the qualities of the product itself.
